A Chrysler Group executive has said that Fiat dealerships meeting sales and customer service goals will be the first to get the Alfa Romeo 4C when it goes on sale in America.
Not all Fiat dealerships will be guaranteed Alfa Romeo franchises according to Peter Grady, Chrysler Group vice president for network development and fleet. In total, 1,000 Alfa Romeo 4Cs will be allocated for the United States yearly and annual output of the sports car will be set at 2,500 units.

The automaker also announced that it intends to have 220 U.S. Fiat dealerships open by October 1; Fiat currently has 202 dealerships in America. In addition, the Chrysler Group will be flexible on Fiat dealerships having attached service departments in order to sell Alfa Romeo models. Previously, it was mandatory, but given the low volume of the 4C, Chrysler is willing to address it on a case-to-case basis.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is the only model heading to America until 2015.
“The 4C is the first vehicle that comes at the end of this calendar year, and it’s going to go to the current Fiat dealers that are performing,” Grady said in an interview during the National Automobile Dealers Association convention. “So if you’re selling and you’re taking care of your customer, you’ll be first up for Alfa Romeo.”
