The return of the Alfa Romeo brand to North America will be delayed until the second quarter of 2014.

Previously, Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne was adamant that Alfa Romeo would make a return this year to the U.S. However, Alfa spokesman Davide Kluzer confirmed in an email to AutoGuide that the 4C will arrive Stateside in the second quarter of 2014.

The 4c will cost $54,000 and will be sold through Maserati dealerships, marking the brand return to North America. Past reports suggest that the brand is considering the MiTo for North American sale. There have also been rumblings that the Guilia sedan will be sold here – which doesn’t seem terribly outlandish when you consider its platform underpins the Dart.
