Alfa Romeo 4C Dealer List Begins to Emerge

Early news about the U.S. dealers that will sell the much-anticipated Alfa Romeo 4C sports car is starting to emerge.

According to users on 4C-Forums.com, both Fiat and Maserati stores will carry the carbon fiber sports car. The thread suggests that dealers being allowed to sell the car aren’t supposed to announce the news until May 6, but a preliminary list is already starting to emerge. So far, the post names four Fiat dealers that will offer the 4C: Santa Monica Fiat in California, Towbin Fiat in Las Vegas, Benson Fiat in South Carolina and Harper Fiat in Knoxville.

Some of the announcements come from people who claim to know people at the dealerships, but one poster gives his full name on the forum and claims to work for the dealership he says will carry the cars.

Earlier this year, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne said that Maserati stores and the highest performing Fiat franchises would be allowed to sell the car and the stores named in the post jibe with that.

The 4C uses a turbocharged 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine mounted behind the cabin, powering the rear wheels through a six-speed dry dual-clutch transmission. The powertrain makes 240 hp, but the car is still capable of impressive performance because of its especially light weight. The company claims it will reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds.

U.S. pricing hasn’t been announced, but it can’t be far away.
