A leaked roadmap has revealed that Alfa Romeo is planning on launching nine new models by 2016, with the Italian automaker setting its sight on the premium market.

The extended product roadmap for Alfa Romeo reveals that the automaker plans to launch a new B-segment vehicle, with a C-segment model following that will replace the Giulietta. The Giulia will then launch for the D-segment market with a crossover/SUV variant and a Sportwagon variant.

To rival the German automakers’ entries, Alfa Romeo will launch a Maserati Ghibli-based vehicle with its eyes set on the Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-Series market. In addition, the roadmap reveals that Alfa Romeo will launch three special models, with the first one being a coupe version of the production 4C. That vehicle will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year.

Following up that coupe will be a Spider convertible variant for the 4C, while the third model will be called a Duetto and is the small roadster co-developed with Japanese automaker Mazda.
