The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio will be available in the U.S. late next year with a starting price around $70,000.

Having already been unveiled earlier this year, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is making its U.S. debut at the 2015 L.A. Auto Show powered by a Ferrari-sourced 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. With a 0-60 mph time of just 3.8 seconds, the Giulia Quadrifoglio also holds a record-setting Nurburgring lap time of 7:39, making it the fastest four-door production sedan on the world-famous track.

The Italian automaker has additional plans for the Giulia model in the U.S. however, as it will eventually introduce a full line of Giulia models including one powered by an all-new Alfa Romeo-designed turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 276 hp. In addition to rear-wheel drive, the standard Giulia will also be available with an all-wheel drive system equipped with torque vectoring. Think of the standard entry-level Giulia as your run-of-the-mill BMW 3 Series and the Quadrifoglio as the M3.

It’s not just all about its near perfect 50/50 weight distribution and blistering performance, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio can go from 60-0 mph in 102 feet thanks to carbon-ceramic brakes from Brembo. Up front there are six-piston calipers with 15.4-inch rotors while the rear features four-piston calipers and 14.2-inch rotors. The standard Alfa Romeo Giulia still uses Brembo brakes, but has large vented iron discs with four-piston calipers in the front and the rear. Getting all the power to the ground on the Giulia Quadrifoglio is a staggered set of 19×8.5-inch wheels in the front and 19×10-inch rollers in the rear wrapped with 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

“The all-new Giulia is not just a new car, but an entirely new benchmark that represents the next chapter in Alfa Romeo’s rich 105-year heritage,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Alfa Romeo Brand, FCA – North America. “With an all-new lightweight platform and class-leading power and handling, the all-new Giulia delivers on the pedigree of incredible technology, race-inspired performance and Italian design and style.”
