The Alfa Romeo 4C has had its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and the Italian automaker is kicking things off with an exclusive “Launch Edition.”
The numbered, limited edition 4C will be reserved to 400 units in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East; 500 in North America; and 100 in the rest of the world. The limited edition model will be distinguished by exclusive characteristics and accents, such as carbon fiber trim and the “Carrara White” body color. Those opting to purchase a 4C Launch Edition will also have the privilege of taking part in an exclusive event in Italy, which includes an advanced driving session with professional driver-instructors.

Alfa Romeo announced also that pricing for the 4C will be set at 60,000 euros in European markets, around $78,190 US. Unfortunately, the Italian automaker didn’t announce pricing in America, but it’s safe to say it’ll be at least $60,000.
Powering the Alfa Romeo 4C is a 1750 cc turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 240 hp. The powerplant is mated to an Alfa TCT twin-dry clutch transmission.
For the most part, the 4C’s unveiling had no real surprises, as the world has been heavily anticipating the car for quite some time now. As for the Launch Edition, it’ll be available in Carrara White or Alfa Red and will have a carbon aerodynamic kit including a rear spoiler and mirror covers. The rear aluminum diffuser will feature a dark finish, while the Bi-LED headlights will get a dark surround. 18-inch wheels in the front and 19-inch wheels in the rear finish off the 4C Launch Edition.
Top speed of the 4C is rated at over 155 mph and 4.5 seconds to accelerate to 62 mph from a standstill.
